Looks are deceiving
An elderly woman approached my register with her daughter, and her 2 grandkids.
She had 3 Juicy Couture purses and a couple of clothing items.
I scanned the first item and it rang up to $6, I was in shock because that was too low and I stayed looking at my screen confused, but still continued scanning other items. Then, my phone rang and it was the Loss Prevention. He told me to make sure the items matched the price, because obviously he had seen something suspicious. I put in the UPC number which is the identification number of the item, and of course it didn't match. I rang up all her other items and no one of the matched. The purses had tags of underwear, the misses clothing had little girls tag. I told her, "sorry ma'am but not of these tags match the items." The granddaughter looked very scared and kept looking at her grandma. The grandma gave her one of those faces my mom gives me when she wants me to stay quiet.
The old lady looked very humble and helpless, I would've never guessed those tags were changed. It's true what that Mexican saying says "las apariencias enganan" which means, "looks are deceiving."
